Musk Backs Off Trump Feud, Admits Posts Went Too Far

Billionaire businessman Elon Musk on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, admitted he regretted some of the posts he made last week about U.S. President Donald Trump, saying they had gone “too far.”

His comments follow a public fallout between the SpaceX CEO and the president, which escalated after Musk criticized Trump’s sweeping tax and spending bill, calling it a “disgusting abomination.”

The tensions culminated on Saturday, June 7, when President Trump declared that his relationship with Musk was over, following a series of insults exchanged on social media.

Amid the online feud, Musk appeared to endorse calls for Trump’s impeachment in a post on X (formerly Twitter). He has since deleted several posts critical of the president, including the one backing impeachment.

Sources close to Musk say his anger has begun to subside, and he may now be open to mending the relationship.
