Otumfuo Meets President Mahama in Goodbye Gesture After Son’s Graduation

Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, paid a courtesy visit to President John Dramani Mahama at his private residence in Accra on Monday, June 23, 2025.

Accompanied by his esteemed chiefs, Otumfuo extended a gesture of goodwill and bid farewell to the President after attending the graduation ceremony of Delhi Private School (DPS) International in Tema on Saturday, June 21, 2025.

During this ceremony, the King’s youngest son, Oheneba Kwame Kyeretwie Osei Tutu, graduated.

Future

In his speech at the graduation, themed “Championing the Nation’s Future,” Otumfuo emphasized that the future lies in the hands of the graduates and their families.

He encouraged them, stating, “Some of those graduating today, whether in the UK, India, China, or the United States, will go on to create groundbreaking technology that could make them instant millionaires. Others will design products that shake the world, invent drugs to treat currently incurable diseases, and even create innovations that could take humanity to other planets.”

Pride

He expressed his pride as a parent, saying, “It has been a source of extraordinary pride for Lady Julia and me to witness the growth of our young prince in this esteemed institution. We have seen him thrive in every aspect. We are proud that he stands tall—not just physically, but also academically and in the moral values we cherish.”
