Nana Konadu Yiadom III, the Asantehemaa, conveyed a special message to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, to commemorate his 75th birthday on Tuesday.
The message was personally delivered during their meeting at the King’s residence in Manhyia Palace.
Accompanied by an entourage of traditional authorities, royals, and courtiers, the Asantehemaa extended her best wishes to Otumfuo.
It was a heartwarming occasion as both the King and the Asantehemaa, dressed in white, sat together and enjoyed each other’s company. They exchanged pleasantries and engaged in light-hearted conversations.
Traditional authorities, royals, and other attendees had the opportunity to pay homage to His Majesty.
Birthday cake
A birthday cake, brought in by Lady Julia, the King’s wife, was cut by Otumfuo and the Asantehemaa to celebrate the special occasion.
