Napo Engages NPP Chiefs in Bono, Bono East, Ahafo, Pushes Unity for 2028 Polls

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the NPP’s presidential running mate for the 2024 elections, has held separate meetings with the party’s executives in the Bono, Bono East, and Ahafo regions.

The purpose of these meetings, which took place on Thursday, April 24, was to express gratitude for the leadership and ongoing support of the party, especially during challenging times.

Leading role
During the meeting with the Ahafo executives in Bechem, Dr. Opoku Prempeh, also known as Napo, urged the regional chairpersons to take a leading role in promoting unity within the party and to resist any attempts to create discord. “Our strength lies in our unity—united, we can succeed; divided, we will fail,” he emphasized.

Commitment to rebuilding
He reaffirmed his commitment to every effort aimed at rebuilding and uniting the NPP, with the ultimate goal of regaining power in 2028. While meeting with the Bono regional executives in Sunyani, he expressed his appreciation for their hard work and dedication.

NPP absence felt
In his meeting with the Bono East executives in Wenchi, Dr. Opoku Prempeh reminded them that a united party is essential for achieving victory in the upcoming elections.

He pointed out that the absence of the NPP has already been felt by the people of Ghana, warning that internal division is the only significant obstacle to the party’s success. “A fragmented party, no matter how strong its flagbearer, stands no chance of winning elections,” he stated.
