The Chairperson of the 19-member Taskforce responsible for delivering President John Dramani Mahama’s 120-day social contract, Dr. Valerie Sawyerr, has assured Ghanaians of the team’s unwavering commitment to fulfilling the President’s promises.

Speaking at the Taskforce’s inauguration in Accra on Tuesday, February 11, Dr. Sawyerr emphasized the seriousness with which the team approaches its mandate.

By the honour you have bestowed upon us and the confidence you have reposed in us, we know how seriously you take your promises to the people of Ghana. Each promise is done with deep thinking, painstaking calculation, and consideration of various permutations to ensure they are viable, doable, and sustainable.

She reaffirmed the Taskforce’s determination to overcome any challenges that may hinder the fulfillment of Mahama’s commitments.

“Woe betide anyone who stands in the way of the performance of your promises to the people of Ghana. So therefore, we pledge to use our utmost endeavors to ensure that we perform on the mandates that you have given us. We will not fail you. We will not fail the people of Ghana, and God be our helper.
