Otumfuo’s Peace Concert to Feature Ayorkor Botchwey as Guest of Honour

A peace concert honouring Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II as a “Pillar of Peace” is scheduled for next year in Kumasi to celebrate his 27th coronation anniversary.

The event, titled “World Meets in Ghana Peace Concert,” is being organised by the E ON 3 Group along with key partners including KGL Group, Emirates Gold, Golden Swiss, the African Gold Market Association, Access Bank, Coronation Insurance, and GLICO Insurance.

Under the theme “Advancing Peace & Sustainable Economic Development Through Royal Vision,” the concert will feature Her Excellency Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, the Commonwealth Secretary-General, as the Guest of Honour.

The event will include a main concert at the Baba Yara Stadium, an Executive Dinner Ball, and a football match featuring international stars.

The concert will provide an opportunity for world leaders, Ghanaians, the African diaspora and the global community to own a piece of the Otumfuo commemorative gold coin, gold bar and gold medal.

Presentation
H.E. Ayorkor Botchwey accepted to attend the concert when the Otumfuo Commemorative Gold Coin was presented to the Commonwealth in London on Thursday, October 23, 2025.

The delegation included Alex Dadey, Executive Chairman of KGL Group; Richard Adjei Mensah Ofori Atta, Executive Chairman of E ON 3 Group; Kwami Sefa Kayi, a broadcast journalist and media consultant to E ON 3 Group; and Daniel Weitmann, founder of Golden Suisse.

Right path
The Commonwealth Secretary-General stated: “Otumfuo is on the right path, and we wholeheartedly associate ourselves with what he is doing. We gratefully accept this gift of the gold coin.”
