Dr. Alexander Yaw Adusei Jnr removed as director of Keta Sea Port

The appointment of Dr. Alexander Yaw Adusei Jnr as Director of Keta Sea Port has been revoked, marking another leadership change in Ghana’s maritime sector.

Adusei, who previously served as the Director of Tema Port and later as CEO of the Ghana Shippers’ Authority, was appointed to oversee the development of the proposed Keta Sea Port, a key infrastructural project aimed at boosting trade and economic activities in the Volta Region.

His removal comes amid ongoing restructuring efforts.

While official reasons for the revocation have not been disclosed, sources suggest it is part of a broader government effort to realign leadership in key state agencies.

During his tenure, Dr. Adusei Jnr played a significant role in early-stage planning and stakeholder engagement for the Keta Sea Port project.

His background in maritime law and port administration had positioned him as a key figure in Ghana’s port expansion strategy.
