Three Arrested in Connection to Young Woman’s Killing in Yeji

Police have arrested three young men for their alleged involvement in the murder of a young lady at Vutideke, near Yeji in the Pru East District of the Bono East Region.

The suspects were Hayford Boateng, 31 years, identified as the deceased boyfriend, and his two friends, Kojo Emmanuel, 28 years, and Michael Kabutey, 34 years.

They attempted to transport the lifeless body of the lady, believed to be a student of the Yeji Midwifery Training School Vutideke to Yeji and were arrested upon a tip-off, the Ghana News Agency (GNA) was informed.

A source at the Yeji Police station who confirmed the incident said the suspects were using an unregistered Hyundai private saloon car with the number DV 8388Y-2025 and are assisting with investigations.

The incident happened Tuesday afternoon June 10, 2025, and the police have since deposited the body at a mortuary for preservation and autopsy.
